Thank You!

We appreciate your participation in supporting our service members and their families while stationed overseas and helping to make Unity Serving Military Overseas a success.

Partner Minister

Enclosed are some of our initial/draft thoughts outlining a relationship between a Minister or Ministry and Unity Serving Military Overseas:

Minister or Ministry agree to provide Unity SMO:

  • A 15-20 minute lesson based on universal principles of Truth, as taught and demonstrated by Jesus Christ and interpreted by Unity and Unity Worldwide Ministries.
  • Authorize Unity SMO to broadcast, rebroadcast, or stream over the internet for 2 worship services.
  • Authorize the provided lesson to be included in the archived Unity SMO worship service, and hosted on the Unity SMO web (unitysmo.com) page and both Facebook and YouTube pages for Unity SMO archives.
  • Video recorded in at least 1280 X 720 (720p) resolution at 30 fps and delivered in the following formats; AVI, MPG, MP4, WMV, and QuickTime.  Contact us if you need to send in another format.
  • Video must be clear without blur and appropriately lit.  Audio must be without interference (i.e. hum) and clear and distinct annunciation.
  • If a video or slides were used as part of the lesson, those must be provided as well.
  • Ministry to upload files to the specified file share directory at least 8 work days prior to air/presentation date.  This allows for quality control checks and production scheduling.
  • Provide a 300 X 300 jpg or png image of the Minister and the 300 X 300 jpg or png Ministry logo.

Unity SMO agrees to:

  • promote the provided lesson several weeks in advance on the website (unitysmo.com) and in announcements during the worship service.
  • broadcast, rebroadcast, or stream over the internet (including Unity SMO’s Facebook Live stream, Unity SMO’s YouTube channel and web site (unitysmo.com) for 2 worship services without editing.  Some overlay editing to include slides or video may be necessary.  Graphics will be overlayed to credit the Minister and/or Ministry.
  • Post the lesson as included content in the archived Unity SMO worship service, and hosted on the Unity SMO web (unitysmo.com) page and both Facebook and YouTube pages for Unity SMO archives.

Military service members and their families face life events very different than the typical population.  Regular and frequent location to foreign countries, language barriers, family separation due to military deployments or contingencies, to name a few.  Below are some topics that would probably be of interest to the viewers, audience, congregation of Unity Serving Military Overseas:

  • How to use affirmative prayer.
  • How to know your Divinity.
  • Change your world by changing your thoughts.
  • Prayer can change your life.
  • Prosperity is yours.
  • Truth is…..
  • The enemy is ……
  • Demonstrating kindness and compassion in times of crisis.
  • Crucial conversations deflect hostility

Multi-lesson book talk series are not conducive to our scheduling, so please do not consider those talks.

Partner Musician

Unity Serving Military Overseas is looking for musicians to add to our streamed worship service to military service members and their families stationed overseas.

Unlike performing in front of a church congregation, we stream or broadcast our worship service Sunday 10am in Tokyo, Japan (Saturday, 9pm Eastern), and Sunday 10am in Frankfurt, Germany (Sunday, 4am Eastern).

Portions of our worship service are live, hosted by a host or platform assistant, as most worship services are.  Other portions are pre-recorded.  This would not be possible in a regular or traditional worship service; as nearly every worship service broadcasts/streams as a secondary focus; thus expanding their audience reach.

At Unity SMO, our audience are living and working on other continents, and when it’s day there, it’s night in the United States.  Our mission is to provide our congregants a live worship service convenient to them, and we’d like you to join us.

We are interested in musicians who perform dynamic and uplifting music consistent with New Thought ideals and teachings.  Each worship service will include 2 songs from a single artist.  At this time, we are interested in those who license through empoweMA.

As Unity SMO broadcasts/streams video, we cannot just play an mp3/wav audio file of your songs.  We don’t have the production capabilities at this time to create music videos of your music, so we will need a video of your music performance.  To ensure we meet consistent quality of our broadcast/streamed product, each video should be recorded at 1280 X 720 dpi (720p) minimum and 30fps.  If there is more than one musician, the audio should be appropriately mixed so the entire ensemble can be distinctively heard.

If musicians regularly perform at a church, we would welcome a video of that performance, provided it meets our quality standards.

Once we have scheduled our Partner Minister for a particular worship service and obtained the premise and a short summary of their talk, we will send an email to all of our Partnered Musicians, asking if they have music that relates or corresponds to that talk.  Unity SMO will coordinate with the Minister (providing an audio snipet would also be helpful) to verify there is consistency or synergy between topic and music.  If your songs are chosen, you will become our Featured Partner Musician for that week.

As our weekly featured musical artist and Partner musician, we will include your picture and link to a web site (you provide us with the url) where our viewers/congregants can listen and purchase your music.  It’s a win-win-win; win for the congregant who gets to hear great music they normally would not get the chance to enjoy; a win for you, the artist who is able to reach a greater audience; and a win for Unity Serving Military Overseas, who is honored to partner with fine musicians and include their music as part of a uplifting worship experience.

A Partner Musician agrees to provide Unity SMO:

  • Two songs, not to exceed 4 minutes each that embrace the ideals of empower Music and Arts.
  • Authorize Unity SMO to broadcast, rebroadcast, or stream over the internet for 2 worship services.
  • Authorize the songs to be included in the archived Unity SMO worship service, and hosted on the Unity SMO web (unitysmo.com) page and both Facebook and YouTube pages for Unity SMO archives.
  • Musician will upload files to the specified file share directory at least 8 work days prior to air/presentation date.  This allows for quality control checks and production scheduling.
  • Provide a 300 X 300 jpg or png image for our web site.

Unity SMO agrees to:

  • promote the Partner Musician several weeks in advance on the website (unitysmo.com) and in announcements during the worship service.
  • broadcast, rebroadcast, or stream over the internet (including Unity SMO’s Facebook Live stream, Unity SMO’s YouTube channel and web site (unitysmo.com) for 2 worship services without editing.  Some overlay editing allowing graphics will be overlayed to credit the musician.
  • post the worship service which includes both song performances in the archived Unity SMO worship service, and hosted on the Unity SMO web (unitysmo.com) page and both Facebook and YouTube pages for Unity SMO archives.

Metaphysical Bible Interpretation

Unity Serving Military Overseas is looking to develop a cadre of Unity credentialed leaders who enjoy Bible interpretation, and are willing to interpret Bible verses as requested by Unity SMO viewers and congregants.

As requests from viewers are received and vetted, the cadre of those who have expressed interest will be notified by email.  The first to respond accepting the task will be soley assigned.

Enclosed are some of our initial/draft thoughts outlining a relationship between a Unity credentialed leader (i.e. Minister or Licensed Unity Teacher) and Unity Serving Military Overseas regarding the Metaphysical Bible Interpretation:

Unity credentialed leader agrees to provide Unity SMO:

  • A 2-3 minute metaphysical Bible interpretation of a Bible verse using Unity’s Metaphysical Bible Dictionary and The Revealing Word and techniques taught to Unity students for metaphysically interpreting the Bible.
  • The interpretation will begin with the requested Bible verse and end with the verse interpreted.
  • Authorize Unity SMO to broadcast, rebroadcast, or stream over the internet for 2 worship services.
  • Authorize the provided interpretation to be included in the archived Unity SMO worship service, and hosted on the Unity SMO web (unitysmo.com) page and both Facebook and YouTube pages for Unity SMO archives.
  • Credentialed leader to upload files to the specified file share directory at least 8 work days prior to air/presentation date.  This allows for quality control checks and production scheduling.
  • Provide a 300 X 300 jpg or png image of the Credentialed leader.

Unity SMO agrees to:

  • promote the provided Bible interpretation several weeks in advance on the website (unitysmo.com) and in announcements during the worship service.
  • broadcast, rebroadcast, or stream over the internet (including Unity SMO’s Facebook Live stream, Unity SMO’s YouTube channel and web site (unitysmo.com) for 2 worship services without editing.  Some overlay editing to include slides or video may be necessary.  Graphics will be overlayed to credit the Credentialed leader.
  • Post the Bible interpretation as included content in the archived Unity SMO worship service, and hosted on the Unity SMO web (unitysmo.com) page and both Facebook and YouTube pages for Unity SMO archives.

Host / Platform Assistant

Unity Serving Military Overseas is looking for hosts and individuals interested in serving as Platform Assistants as we add to our team to stream worship service to military service members and their families stationed overseas.

This would not be possible in a regular or traditional worship service; as nearly every worship service broadcasts/streams as a secondary focus, thus expanding their audience reach.

At Unity SMO, our audience is living and working on other continents, and when it’s day there, it’s night in the United States.  Our mission is to provide our congregants a live worship service convenient to them, and we’d like you to join us.

We want to engage with those interested in hosting and participating as Platform Assistants for each worship service.  These duties are very similar to those performed during a regular worship service, except the audience will be the camera representing the viewers from around the world and the audio/video technician located with the host.

The Host / Platform Assistant is instrumental in bringing together the entire service; the portions that are live, and those pre-recorded (i.e. music, Metaphysical Bible Interpretation Moment, and lesson).  You must feel comfortable welcoming the viewers/congregants, leading the Statement of Purpose, reading The Daily Word, introducing the Metaphysical Bible Interpretation Moment and lesson, taking the Offertory, and reading through announcements, and the Affirmative Prayer for Protection.  A script (worship service run sheet) will be prepared in advance nad must be followed.

As a Host/Platform Assistant, you’ll work with the audio/video technician and acknowledge those who have “checked-in” through social media to the service.  In this way, the viewer/congregant is recognized for their participation in the worship service and this demonstrates the service is actually live and not completely pre-recorded.

Audio / Video Technician

Unity Serving Military Overseas is looking for audio/video technicians for our team to stream worship service to military service members and their families stationed overseas.

At Unity SMO, our audience is living and working on other continents, and when it’s day there, it’s night in the United States.  Our mission is to provide our congregants a live worship service convenient to them, and we’d like you to join us.

Unlike running audio or video of a typical church congregation, we stream or broadcast our worship service Sunday 10am in Tokyo, Japan (Saturday, 9pm Eastern), and Sunday 10am in Frankfurt, Germany (Sunday, 4am Eastern).

Portions of our worship service are live hosted by a host or platform assistant, with other portions of the service pre-recorded.  The audio/video technician is responsible for ensuring the broadcast stream is operational (simultaneous on Facebook and YouTube) using the vMix video production software, lay in the graphics as called, and cue the recorded portions.  Shortcuts/Macros can be set up to make transitions smoother and easier.

The audio/video technician will work with the host/Platform Assistant to acknowledge those who have “checked-in” through social media to the service.  In this way, the viewer/congregant is recognized for their participation in the worship service and this demonstrates the service is actually live and not completely pre-recorded.

This will be a paid position, based on experience, and ability to support both worship services.  There is an understanding of the lapse of time between the services. We can discuss pre-production tasks for the following week’s worship service during the lapse between that weeks service.
